New Member Orientation

All new members are required to attend an orientation program designed to build awareness of the requirements of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, professional standards, pathways to professionalism, risk management, fair housing in addition to member resources and benefits. This program is mandatory for new members and must be completed within 60 days from the date of application. Failure to meet this requirement with result in denial of the membership application. For members transferring from another Board who have completed orientation and maintained a practice, this orientation is optional. For new members who have been a member of a local board/association in the past but left the industry for a year or more orientation is mandatory. New Member Orientation and Code of Ethics Training is offered in person at SCAR headquarters once every quarter. The dates can be found on this website’s calendar.
